Hello, and welcome to my website. My name is Tom, aka "DigiP". I am a married, father of two beautiful little girls, musician, artist, photographer and self taught computer enthusiast. I am also the web designer and owner of this web site.
Somewhere around 1995 I started working with computers and the Internet. It started out of pure curiosity. "How did they do that?" and "How does this work?" were the questions I would ask myself. When I first discovered the Internet, web pages were mostly text with little to no color or images, but I was fascinated with all the information that you could learn about, and the people you could meet and talk to from all over the world. I was like a kid with a new toy. Like any kid would do, I had to take things apart to see how they worked. What made it tick. I eventually figured out that you could
"use the force" I mean, "view the source" of web pages. The source was all the code that made up the web page. It was this weird language and my introduction to HTML and the programming behind every website.
Over the years, I learned more and more about how to create web pages from looking at the source code of pages I liked. Once you do something long enough, you start to pick it up, and I eventually was making my own web sites without the help of any source code. It was fun experimenting with things and learning how to make my own scripts. Like any toy you play with, eventually you get tired of it. The Internet was still fun, but making web pages took a back seat to other interests, such as my music and my job.
In 1997 I joined one of the fastest growing companies in America, Commerce Bank of NJ. In the first year I was there, the building had been rearranged several times. Hallaways and walls would be there one week, gone the next. It was an exiting time, as I was becoming more and more interested in computers, and eventually moved up from a Check Sorter Operator and landed a job in Data Processing as a Mainframe Computer Operator. The longer I worked with the bank, the more I wanted to learn about computers and how they worked.
Tom is a creative and efficient website artist. He worked with me at a moments notice and I greatly appreciate the job he did for my company, American In Brasil. I will be working with him for years to come and continue to recommend Tom whenever someone inquires.

Fast forward a bit, and I was still working full time at the bank. The bank is now TD Bank in Mount Laurel, NJ (formerly Commerce Bank, ™ America's Most Convenient Bank) where I had been a computer operator for the past 12 years. I worked 3 days a week, 12 hours a night. My job left me enough free time to pursue my other hobbies, such as music,
photography, web design and
graphic arts. I play guitar, bass and drums, and you may have heard some of my music played on the radio if you live in the Philadelphia area. My former band
Twisted Pair can be found here.
While working at the bank, I had also completed my CompTIA Network+ Certification, as well as my Cisco CCENT certification.
I hope to have my CCNA and Cisco Voice Certification by the end of this year, as well as my Microsoft Certifications. The Internet and Computer Networking are two things that I really enjoy working on. Especially Cisco Routers and Switches. For me, I find it amazing how these devices allow us to do everything we need in this day and age, from the Internet and Web Pages, to Voice Networks, Video and Television, Phone Calls over the Internet and even Streaming Live Music. Computer Networking and the Internet allow us to do all these things and more.
Web Design allows me to support my Family and supplement my current income while looking for a job. If you need help with designing a new web site, or need someone to help update and maintain your current web site, please contact me and I will do my best to help you meet your goals!
